Two ways to entrust your items to ALGT: visit one of our laboratories in person, or arrange a secure, insured courier shipment. Each path follows the same four-step procedure below.

Preparing Your Visit
Make your visit fast and seamless by bringing the right documents and a clear request.
New Clients
New clients are kindly requested to complete the registration form and carefully read and sign the applicable terms and conditions prior to submission.
Identification Requirements
In accordance with Belgian government KYC (Know Your Client) regulations, a copy of a valid passport or national ID card is mandatory.

Submission by Courier
If you are unable to visit in person, gemstones or jewelry may be shipped to the laboratory with declared value and appropriate insurance coverage.

Recommended Couriers
We strongly recommend a secure courier service offering insured shipment, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS, Malca-Amit or an equivalent provider.

Required Documentation
Please include the following documents in your shipment:
- A note specifying the requested analysis and service.
- Registration form and copy of passport or ID card (for new clients).
For shipments originating outside the European Union
- βΈA commercial invoice must be included.
- βΈThe correct HS Code corresponding to the gemstone type must be stated.

Completion & Collection
Once analysis is complete, your items are ready for collection or return shipment.
Analysis Completion & Return Shipment
- An invoice will be issued via email. Payment must be completed by bank transfer prior to the return of the items.
- Clients may arrange their own courier for return shipment. If no preference is specified, the laboratory will arrange shipment via Malca-Amit (SF Express for shipments within China).
- Shipping costs depend on the declared value of the goods. Malca-Amit price list available upon request.
- All shipping charges, insurance costs, and related fees remain the responsibility of the depositor.
Collection of Submitted Items
- The deposit receipt issued at the time of submission is required for collection of gemstones or jewelry.
- The laboratory recognizes only the depositor named on the receipt as the authorized party for collection.
- If a third party will collect the items on the depositor's behalf, the following conditions apply:
- βΈWritten authorization (power of attorney) must be provided.
- βΈThe laboratory must be informed in advance.
- βΈAll persons collecting items must present valid identification.
- Items will only be released after full payment of all applicable fees has been confirmed.
